If you purchase your vintage Celine through Mercari Japan (using a proxy service if you're not in Japan), you can pay an additional $20 - $30 to have the bag authenticated by a Japanese authenticator, who are some of the best. If the bag does not pass their inspection, you get an automatic refund.

If the bag you're looking at is on ebay and is listed by a Japanese seller, 9 times out of 10 it will also be listed on Mercari Japan, and at a much lower price.
