I’m in the market for a compact wallet specifically to use with my Métis because I don’t like how much space my zippy takes up in the Métis and my old mahina clutch wallet won’t even fit inside. I’ve narrowed it down to the victorine. I’d love it in a pink vernis, but that doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen. So I’m debating between mono with fuchsia interior or mono with standard brown. What do you guys think of the victorine? How does it hold up over time?

I owned this wallet for a little while in empreinte leather. It held a lot of cards and I liked that it had a separate compartment for bills, but the coin compartment was completely non-functional for me :( I could barely get anything in or out. I ended up selling for this reason and now use a card case most of the time, or a small Gucci wallet with a larger coin compartment when I am using a lot of cash. If you don't think a tighter coin compartment would bother you, I vote mono with the fuchsia! I am always for a pop of color.

I have the round coin purse for coins. I realized when I looked at it that coins would make it too tight. So I’m ok with that!

If you use a round coin purse, then the Victorine should be just fine. I also like to use a zippy coin purse too in my PM. Fuchsia is beautiful, but that leather button has never served me well. :/

I currently own my second victorine in mono, first was fuchsia now rose ballerine and I totally agree with the statement that coin packet is practically unusable. It’s a great size wallet but please note the button tends to wear off and peel of , so I would advise to get the one with metal button if possible. Also the leather button gets dirty easily, mine being light pink starts to show dirt already. Another thing that I experienced the card slots are very tight at beginning and hard to get cards in and out but that stretches with the time. Overall very nice lightweight wallet that holds a lot and fits in different sizes purses.

I have a victorine in the mono fuchsia and I know the leather button will show wear eventually but i can't say no to a pop of color! Also, a friend of mine said that her SA helped her replace her leather button with a metal button after her leather one got totally worn down. That was awhile back so I don't know about nowadays.

I thought about the zippy coin but I really want a full size bills section. I have the Rosalie for nights out but can’t use it as an every day wallet because

Thank you guys for your input! Does anyone use the coin area for more cards? Is that particle?
Also when the card slots eventually stretch out does anyone find that their card just slips out on its own? I heard one youtuber say that...

I’ve owned a Victorine Empreinte Noir for a month and I absolutely love it, my only regret is not getting this wallet into my life sooner. I came from a card case with a mini coin compartment and needed something bigger to indeed fit bills and receipts. But as I use “smaller” everyday bags like you (PS11 and newly Marni Trunk & Métis) I still needed something compact. In size this wallet is perfect for those types of bags.
I can imagine if you hold tons of coins, it’s not so practical, but that’s not an issue for me. Also I don’t feel the card slots will stretch as indeed mentioned online, as long as you don’t double up your cards per slot (but I own leather, so I don’t know how it is for the canvas). You can also put cards in the back of the slots, where there is quite some room, I keep 4 (gift)cards behind those on each side. So in total I carry 3+3+4+4=14(!) cards (not all plastic) and some extra stuff in the bill compartment, don’t think you could need a lot more than that on a daily basis?

I’ve owned the marine rouge victorine for almost 2 years and no issues.
I don’t use the coin slot for coins, I have a Bastia for that. I’m able to fit extra 4 cards in that section. In total, I have 12 cards in there.

Used the Sarah wallet prior and wanted something more compact. It fits in all my nano, mini and smaller bags and well as my big bags as I don’t change wallets unless I’m traveling.

The card slots section is still tight and doesn’t stretch as easily compared to the canvas version. There are minor hairline cracks at the bends due to constant opening and closing but nothing major. I will use it until I change wallets or have it re-glazed down the road.

I also own a Victorine in Empreinte Noir and quite happy with it. My previous wallet was the old model zippy compact which is pretty much a full sized wallet and was pleasantly surprised that I do not need to downsize too much. Before purchasing Victorine, I have spend quite some time looking over every single LV compact wallet and realize that Victorine is the best choice because most compact wallet has the same design and Victorine has the best price. I would recommend getting a Empreinte one for the reasons below:

- Empreinte leather is very nice to the touch yet durable at the same time; great entry piece to the empreinte line if you don't own one; this or Emilie are both good entry piece
- price is great, compared bunch of canvas/leather hybrid ones that are over 1k
- easier to pull card out than the canvas version
- gold button is more durable than the leather button
- more subtle and less likely to have wallet twins

Would also recommend the Studded DE one if you can find it, or just the plain classic brown monogram for the gold button. I never have card falling out kind of issue because I don't double up. Even if you do, with the upright card clot design, probably not happen as easy anyways. Coin slot is ok, can fit maybe 5 coins tops?

Oh I had originally wanted the empreinte but kind of talked myself out of it because I have my sights on the Adele in black empreinte for a down the road purchase... but you’re making me rethink empreinte for the victorine.... argh too many nice options!!!!!
