Versace or Valentino? I am looking to buy a small black bag and really like the Versace Palazzo Evening bag but I haven’t been able to find too many reviews regarding quality. I’ve heard great things about Valentino and my local Saks has one that looks kind of similar to the one I like at Versace, but again I’m worried about quality as it is greatly discounted. A little bit of insight would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Did you end up buying the Versace? I currently have the same dilemma. I liked the Virtus bag and I just bought one on 50% discount, but I can’t decide whether or not to keep it because I’m worried about the quality. There is literally no review or wear and tear information so I’m really torn between keeping it (and see for myself how it holds up) or play it safe and just return the bag :(

I’m really interested in the round Medusa camera bag, but there does seem to be a weird lack of reviews on Versace bags. I can’t find a single one for this bag.
Also, does anyone know how often/when Versace has sales? I know their bags get discounted, so I’d rather not buy at full price.

I know right, I've searched on the whole youtube and I can't find any review especially wear and tear. The only videos I saw are a few unboxing and some weren't even in English, so no idea what they're saying  I thought I would find something here but nope.

Anyways I just bought a Virtus bag and I can only tell you that the leather is very soft and soooo buttery, and also the bag has a weight on it so I think the leather is a good quality. The lining is Nappa leather and it is reallyyyyy soft yet feels durable. The stitching and the edging are also neat. My concern before seeing the bag in person was the hardware being to yellow/orange but irl it actually looks good, it has antique finish on it and I think it's Versace's signature in a lot of their bag. I actually think the antique finish is giving the hardware a timeless look because it won't age.

Versace says that the leather they use is calfskin so I compared it to calfskin bags I own. Of course the leather quality is not on par with Dior, but that's a given, considering the price. Compared to Burberry TB Bag, the Versace's one is more buttery, the Burberry is smoother and more prone to scratch. But I still think the Burberry one is still a better quality and more durable. But then again, the Burberry TB retails €400 more than the Versace Virtus. In the end, for the price (especially I paid 50% off retail) I think Versace is a really good quality, but I can't say anything about the wear & tear.

Their end of season sale just ended like last week and some items were up to 50% off! It was until Jan 31, that's when I grabbed my Virtus bag.
I don't know how often they do sale because I've never looked into Versace before, but most designers have end of season sale twice a year in around June and December/January so maybe Versace also have it at the same time. I don't think I saw the bag you want on their sale last week, they had the Medusa belt bag tho.

Thanks for the info! I’ve also been checking department store websites, but I haven’t seen the bag I want on any. I really want it mostly as a hands-free vacation bag and probably won’t use it super regularly, so if the quality is good I’m sure it would hold up for that. I’ll keep checking the website. Hopefully it’ll go on sale around summer time.
