Vernis Brentwood for $775, half priced?

Hello ladies, I googled Vernis Brentwood and found this site. I found this post and the Brentwood was at $1280 on elux (now $1390). Then I froogled it and found this bag at laperle.com for only $775, which is half the original price.

Any of you ladies had experience with laperle.com? How reliable are they? Any help will be appreciated. My girlfriend birthday is coming up and this will be here gift.
