Vera Wang Lav"A"nder?

Someone bought a pair of vera wang lavender boots from Nordstrom Rack.
But she found that on the bottom of the boots, it reads Vera Wang Lav"A"nder.
Yes, LAVANDER not lavender.
Inside the boots, there is a correct label "Vera Wang Lavender".
Is it possible that the pair of boots she bought is fake?

Very strange. At first I thought it might be the italian way of spelling Lavender..

Italian way of spelling Lavender is
Lavanda.... so still two letters do not match.
