Velntino Rockstud - Is this a defect?

Hello ladies,

I bought my wife to be a pair of Rockstuds for the big day but she noticed a scuff on the heel. Is this a defect or damage? Should I be exchanging this for another pair? See photos below.

Yes, it does look like the leather got scuffed, maybe in store handling. However no one is going to see that when the shoes are on her feet, so I would only exchange them if it's not a big hassle.
