Vegas - L.A. by car?

  1. How long does that approx. take? :shrugs:

    TIA! :flowers:
  2. I'd say about 4 hours. We lived in Barstow and it took us about 2.5 hours to get to vegas
  3. yep and now the 15 is under construction thru dec bad news for vegas
  4. We went about 3 weeks ago and it took just about 5 hours. The construction made it slow and the fear of huge speeding in work zones fines made my DH stick pretty close to the speed limit. It can get really backed up and in the past people have told me about it taking 6 or even 7.
You are here pretty soon huh Kittie! Exciting!!
  5. Thanks for the answers. I'm already sooo excited! :yahoo: I just can't wait for the plane to take off.

Hmm, gosh, dunno if taking that trip is worth is?! :shrugs:

We have a rental car while we are in Vegas and we're taking one trip with a one-night-stay at a hotel at the Grand Canyon. I'd sure love to see Hollywood (last time I was in L.A. I only saw the airport and we then went on to Anaheim, Disneyland or Disneyworld, I always forget which is where), but I guess there more than enough to discover in and around Vegas and I'm just overly excited now. I keep forgetting that the US speed limit is so "slow" for my taste :shame: I always figure it would be much quicker.

Oh, and I'm totally confused about the Outlets? There seem to be millions of them :hysteric: Which one is the "best" in your opinion?

    TIA! :flowers:
  6. If I was given a choice, I would stay in Vegas instead of going to Hollywood. It's very overrated.

The best outlets are at state line, next to Primm Casino.

Have a great time. The shopping in Vegas is fabulous.
  7. Primm is just OK in my opinion. The name is misleading Fashion Outlet of Las Vegas is not really in Vegas, but you can get there in under an hour...

    Fashion Outlet Las Vegas

However, I prefer Las Vegas Premium Outlets-things are a bit more in line with my tastes and budget...

    Las Vegas Premium Outlets

There, now you can be the judge.
  8. thanks a bunch ... I guess I'll check out both of them I mean, I'm there for 10 days so I gotta keep me entertained :graucho:
  9. Yes, the outllets in Primm - at the CA/NV stateline is the place to shop for outlet shopping - they have a Tod's store, Burberry and so much more!!! I make an effort every time I go to LV to goto Primm and shop!!!

Have fun, my husband just returned from there this morning!!
  10. yeah, I read about the burberry and I def. wanna go there

Is it worth it or do they just have the junk that noone wants to buy anyway? :P

Hope you DH had a fun time!
  11. We've driven from Vegas to LA a few times in the past in 4 hours. Now, we always fly. 40 minutes and you're there! It's soooooooo much faster and not that expensive.

    Have fun!
  12. I'd say 4+ hours...I used to drive from OC and it was about 3.5+...traffic is getting RIDICULOUS...!!!
  13. Lucky you! Vegas is sooooo fun. You're not missing anything if you don't make it to Hollywood. I like the outlets at Primm... they have Neiman's last call and it connects conveniently to the casinos. Someone posted a coupon for Last Call on the forum and I know it doesn't expire until sometime in December. I don't know how to link the thread (sorry) but it's in Deals & Steals titled "Neiman Marcus Last Call 10% off coupon". Have fun on your trip!
  14. oh wow ... thank you .... I already registered at one of the outlets VIP club and printed out loads of coupons ... lol ... you never know :graucho:
  15. I usually go to the Burberry outlet in Cabazon. Some of the stuff is good. I got a trench coat for $380 on my last trip.
