Hi. I am considering getting the VCA sweet alhambra earrings studs in either carnelian or onyx. I plan to wear them 24/7. I've heard its not a good idea to wear the stone jewelry since the stones get damaged and shrink from showers. Does anyone know how much VCA charges to replace or repair the stones if this does happen?

Carnelian and onyx do not shrink (mother of pearl can shrink, and some stones will lose their polish). The negative about wearing them 24/7 is the extra wear and tear they will receive. But if you don't mind them looking a little dull or scratched over time or having to replace the stones, that is certainly your choice.

I'd recommend reading VCA's care instructions prior to buying:

Onyx doesn't shrink? That's great. I dont mind the scratches, I was afraid of it shrinking.

Few days ago when I was switching my bracelet between hands, on the bed, i felt a tug when using the clasp but didn't think much and went to sleep. 24hrs later I realised this part of the clasp has a chipped off gold. I tried to search for that missing piece on my bed but I couldnt find (not that I can do anything with that tiny bit lol).

This is really the first time I experienced on any fine jewelry. Anyone encountered so? Did you take to VCA to have it replaced?
I'm just worried that now the little ring is thinner, it may break under little impact.

It’s not a chip. There is some kind of floral engraving. I have it on all my pieces. I’ve always seen it. Take a 30x loupe to it.

Haha oh dear! There is? I've even asked my husband to take a look (his eyes are definitely sharper than mine). He said "need strong light" and went to the window on a sunny day and checked and told me "can't make it out".

I was actually suspecting could be an engraving but i really havent noticed it since i had it for a good few years.

Don’t worry! @EpiFanatic is correct, it is a hallmark on the metal and has always been there. I am fairly certain it is not a floral motif, but I’m not sure if we are permitted to discuss these marks in detail. If you do a google search you should be able to find out what it is :) It is the French mark for 18k gold.
