On my last visit I was talking to our SA and mentioned that we'd be going to Paris later this December. She mentioned that she could possibly organize a tour of the VCA workshop while we're there. Has anyone heard of this or been to this tour? Would love to hear experiences if so.

Hello. My different SA in Switzerland talked about that. The boutique manager mentioned that the workshop did a “visiting tour” (is it with windows ? (I don’t know but I imagined a bit like the chef kitchen at gastronomy restaurant 😀)) and that it should help to show the factory to more people. They continue to tell me that we should try to arrange a date for that so I will definitely try to get there and have a look at the Vendome boutique also …
At your place I would definitely accept this proposition seems so nice !

We were luckily able to do this tour recently and it was exceptional; I highly recommend working it into your trip if you're able to! I believe it must be arranged by your home store. They took us into a private room and showed us their proprietary jewelry making techniques, and then took us into the workshop to actually watch the jewelers in action. It felt so personal and was a special experience I'll never forget, and it had what I'm sure is the intended effect of making me feel even more loyal to the brand and inclined to continue collecting!

If you decide to tour the workshop in December, please share your experience with us! Would love to hear all about it.

I’ll be in Paris this December, too! I just made my appt at Place Vendome. I’d love to do this tour, but my home store is an independently owed location (London Jewelers on Long Island). Assuming your home store is not a standalone?

Yes, correct. My home store is a VCA boutique. I actually won’t be doing the tour. Our schedule is a bit hectic already and have some extended family coming with us so don’t want to separate to go do this.

I am going to Paris in December too. How can I make an appointment at the Place Vendone location? Thanks

I just came back from Paris. I visited the Place Vendone boutique, and met a very lovely SA. I inquired about the workshop tour and she was kind enough to schedule me in within the next few days. I was told they started this workshop tour only a few months ago. It's a hybrid/virtual type of workshop, so you don't get to visit the 'actual factory' per se, due to confidential/security purposes etc. The setting is nicely done, where you get to meet virtually all the major artisans, and also get to see (and touch) their samples, tools etc. At the end of the tour, I've learned a great deal about how their jewelry is made and being pampered from the very first step. It was fun, inspirational, and informative at the same time! Hope this helps :)

Wow thank you for the info! A couple questions if you don’t mind:

Was the location for the tour at the Vendome area or somewhere else in Paris?
Was there any food involved lol?
How long was the entire experience?

Yes, the location is right within the Vendome boutique, very close by actually. They offered me drinks and some chocolates. The tour was about 45mins.
