Thanks, LL! Those tiny Nuages are really cute - but they do look small, don't they? Why was it that I thought that they were going to discontinue the nuage?

I was told that by a Nordstrom handbag manager. This will be the last season according to him, they are "phasing it out".

Chiuri and Piccioli found inspiration on Mick and Bianca, Studio 54 and the spirit of the eighties for Valentino's 2012 Pre-Fall collection. Luckily for us, the duo included four bags and because Valentino's non-season seasons and real season bags are almost the same, this gives us a small idea of how some of the Fall/Winter bags will be: clean lines, classic shapes, frames, smooth leathers and animal prints. Maybe it's not the fiesta-for-the-eyes we usually get from this fashion powerhouse, but this collection makes me wonder if there will be a classic-Valentino revival... they included one of those money-making Rockstuds and a VaVaVoom, but let's focus on the other two, shall we?

For fall/winter the designing duo at the fashion house presented a collection with accessories that reflected what the regular Valentino customer has been questioning for the past seasons: How many studded bags and shoes can a woman have? And their answer was: some. Editing the amount of pyramid studs in bags was a smart move that reminded everybody their purpose-they are meant to be nice embellishments enframing gorgeous materials-and the change was refreshing.
Ladylike bags and clutches made of nappa, calfskin, ponyhair and snakeskin in black, red, moka and pink were less "rock" and more "exquisite"... exquisite indeed.
