-This bag was named Maison because the pleats form various "V", Maison Valentino.

-It was first made for the Spring/Summer 2007 collection. The pleated bag became an instant hit among celebrities and customers alike.

-The first Maisons did not have studs. The studded Maison was first made for Spring/Summer 2008.

-The Maison was one of the first Valentino bags that included the famous name plate.
