-It was first presented on the Spring/Summer 2008 runway show. It was created for the last Ready-to-Wear collection designed by Mr. Garavani himself.
-Because it was first made for Mr. Garavani's last prêt-à-porter collection and his successor Alessandra Fachinetti rarely presented bags at the runway, Spring/Summer 2008 was the last time the Couture bag was included on a runway show.
-It is made using a complex basket weave technique that requires a trained eye, high skilled hands and precise workmanship. That is why it was named "Couture".
-The Couture bag became famous after Charlotte Casiraghi carried a personalized white version of the bag to Valentino's 45th Anniversary Gala; and thanks to Gossip Girl's character Blair Waldorf's constant use of the bag, gaining instant iconic status.
