I purchased an authentic Valentino Lock bag on Ebay. The bag came beautiful, however when I tried closing it, I couldn't open it back. I didn't do anything but just simply closing the bag. I think one of the lock may not be functioning (the right lock cannot be pushed). I attached pictures for you to see. I have emailed the seller but she hasn't got back to me yet.

Do you think I can ask her for a return? Does anyone have any suggestion?

I have sent Louboutin items to MM7 in Paris....maybe they are closer and can help?! Their contact info is in the Louboutin 'trusted cobblers' reference thread. You may also find a trusted UK leather specialist in that thread.

I will post my success here as hopefully it might help other members fm the UK with similar queries. I got in touch with the Handbagclinic and they can glue and recover the edges of the straps for £50. Not cheap but I looked over their makeovers and I am confident they know what they re doing.

I am planning on buying a Va Va voom in black with the light gold hardware but two friends have advised that oxidisation and tarnishing on the hardware of Valentino bags are very common. I was deciding between the VVV and Givenchy Antigona, but had fallen in love with VVV and wanted a shoulder bag. I don't want to spend lots of money on something that is going to oxidise so quickly so wondered if anyone had any experience of this and how it was handled by Valentino?
