Travel BAHAMAS! tips - questions - advice

^Another place i LOVE is the Renaissance Marina hotel in ARuba...its for adults only..OMG,The BEST time ever!
They have a boat that comes ONTO the lobby and takes u everyday to a PRIVATE island..its amazing...pink flamingos on the beach and in the water with u!and very good food too!i cant wait to go back!

I have been to Nassau, Cat Island, and Andros Island.
I recommend Cat and Andros.. but I prefer a "slower paced" island vacatoin.

On Cat Island, I stayed at Fernandez Bay Village http://www.fernandezbayvillage.com/

On Andros I stayed at Small Hope Bay Lodge
http://www.smallhope.com/

I would 10000% recommend both places.

ETA: fernandez bay is not an all inclusive resort, but small hope bay lodge is all inclusive

ive been to aruba which was AMAZING!!!

we wanted to travel an island that was little closer for us so we could spend more time there!

we were also things the BVI islands, but we werent sure where to go there either!!!

We want something relaxing, with no children (preferably)

beach, eat and shop!!!

I have been to Freeport in Grand Bahama Island. I have understood that it's not clearly as big as Nassau but it was quite OK. There is at least one casino, nice hotels and amaaazing beach (and, of course, you can do shopping there). But I think you can find more to do in Nassau.

Atlantis has great shopping ..Normally i go into Nassau too(Fendi..etc)..but I didnt go outside Atlantis this tip as I was on a family"No shopping allowed"trip..ROFL..I did however sneak into Gucci one night in Atlantis and get a KILLER pair of sandals..hehe...

^Well, beware that the service is NOT perfect in the hotel..we had a broken tv the ENTIRE stay and had called a dozen times..they didnt do anything till the LAST day to fix it.
But u really dont spend ANY time in the room anyway....they r very laid back there.
oh and make sure u go to the towel hut each morning and get a wrist band..u need to b wearing it to get n the slides..they have a new band color each day(and keep your arms inside the tubes on the slides..LOL..i lost the skin off one elbow and its still killing me!HEHE)
Don't stay at Beach Tower or Coral tower.I heard services are bad there. They looked pretty old and ugly compared with Royal Tower and The Cove. We stayed at Royal tower and loved it. Service was great, LCD TV is new. Royal Tower is located in the center of all the rides and water activities.

Don't stay at Atlantis if you don't want to see kids running around. I heard Sandals is good for Adults. I have 2 boys 5 and 7 years old, so staying at Atlantis was the best decision that I made.

I so can't wait to go. I'll be going to the atlantis in November for my birthday. I'm staying in the Reef Tower. Has anyone stayed there? I recently read somewhere that some of the resturants and shops are closed on certain days of the week due to low occupancy rates latley. I hope the resturants I want to go to are open when I get there.

^whats the temperature like in November?

Havent stayed in Reef area..but honestly,u can go wrong ANYWHERE in Atlantis...so much to do there!!!..Im thinking of going back in OCT/NOV....

I totally agree. I just spent Labor Day weekend there and had an amazing time! We stayed in the Royal Towers and it was a great location. The Cove is also gorgeous (that's where the Mesa Grill is). Aquaventure was so much fun, don't miss it. The Mayan Temple slide was so scary but so much fun too. Try to have a meal at Cafe Martinique, our dinner there was incredible and we're still thinking about it. Have a great trip!

From what I hear it's pretty nice in November. Hurricane season is over by mid October. Daytime low 80's and evenings in the low 70's.

I stayed at the Royal Towers in July, and LOVED it! I can't wait to go back, but I'm sure it will be awhile. My DD is only 2, so I only did the kiddie pools, but even those are amazing! My little girl was in heaven!

Im going to the Bahamas at the end of January to the beginning of February. I was wondering if anyone is going to the Bahamas around the end of January... and if you've been there, what activities are there to do? I'm going to go jet skiing and swim with the dolphins... But when you're in Mexico, you can go into the caves and in Bermuda there are caves as well and in Jamaica I climbed the waterfall..

I went to the Bahamas when I was younger..but I dont remember what excursions there are there...
