What is everyone's opinion on buying a cheaper Louis Vuitton style in obviously used (but not damaged) condition, vs purchasing a brand new Kate Spade or Tory Burch?

The difference is just that - used vs. new, high end vs. lower priced designer. What do you value more? Are you a hard core LV fan, is the bag you're looking at a special design you absolutely want to have? All bags get old and worn with time, and they still get used so I don't see any problem with buying a bag with some wear marks as long as it's priced right.
I mostly buy preloved, that's been my way to get things from higher end designer brands like Mulberry. Nowadays I buy mostly medium priced brands, especially LC just because I like it better than other brands, higher end or not. And almost always I get preloved stuff just to save money. Most bags are like a car - they lose a good deal of value when you take them out of the store. I rather leave that problem to someone else.
