Just recently did my own research as to why they are in so much trouble. Its mind blowing actually but I guess not really when you consider who runs it.

No just packages from what I heard

This will not take into effect right away, I believe it will happen in 6 months

Other way around as I read it. Normal mail will only go to PO Boxes, but packages will be delivered. It'll be interesting to see if they consider smaller padded envelopes and the like to be 'packages'.

USPS plans to cut Saturday delivery of first class mail, but will continue package delivery and Express Mail as usual.

Well when you purchase postage for a package online, it's classified as "First Class Package" or "Priority Mail Package", so I assume those will be delivered on Sat. However, if you put stamps on a bubble mailer - not sure about that.

Do they keep their salaries and pension?
