I'm going to Vancouver Canada in a couple of weeks and plan on stopping by the Hermes store there. The boutique I usually frequent is in Seattle Washington. I was wondering if the Vancouver boutique would be able to see my Hermes purchases from the US? Anyone have experience in this?

Also, if I were to buy something in Canada Hermes, what's the return policy if I return to Seattle and find that I need to make a return?

I am not planning to buy and return but wanted to know just in case. If anyone has experience to share that'd be great. Thanks in advance!

I once purchased a SLG in a new hot color in a London and realized shortly afterwards it wasn’t able to fit the items I planned to store in it. When I returned home from my travels, I promptly took the item to my local boutique and told them it wasn’t working as I had expected. My SA swiftly processed the return through my home boutique. They credited me with the same price I’d paid for it in London, with the appropriate currency conversions.

I purchased a few items from my local SA during that visit when I returned the piece from London. I didn’t completely use up my boutique credit that day, so my SA carried the remaining credit balance due me forward on my client profile.

I hope this helps. I certainly wouldn’t do this intentionally as you might end up being a bit out-of-pocket considering currency conversions fluctuate, as does pricing in different countries, and there may also be VAT taxes in the mix.

Thank you for the detailed post. This makes a lot of sense. Sounds like the store takes in the product and refund a store credit equivalent to the price paid and exchange it to local currency. I am not planning to do this for fun but wanted some assurance in case my purchases do not workout as expected.

I noticed my online account was able to be used across different country websites too. This makes me think they linked their accounts across different regions. Would be interesting to see if that is the case.
