Tech URGENT! Those with jailbroken iPhones!

There has been a malicious worm created that can cause harm to those that use SSH to log into their phone. This is only for those that have OpenSSH installed and use something like Putty, Cyberduck or WinSCP on your computer and login to manage files through one of those programs. The default password is usually set in these programs and needs to be changed to secure your phone. See this thread for easy instructions to change the password:

This is why people shouldn't jailbreak their phones

This post is not about whether someone should or should not jailbreak their phone, its to provide information for those who have. If you dont want to jailbreak, then so be it, but this thread was not started for opinions.

Maybe you shouldnt have a computer then either though since PCs have worm attacks and warnings much more often than one in 2 years for a jailbroken phone! :rolleyes:

@QB Handbags - I'm not sure how it works on the iPhone, but jailbreaking a phone allows you to add different things in the phone for free and allows you to use it with other carriers.
