congrats!

but if something like this occurs again (to you or another PFer), I think it's perfectly fine to buy things under the table. To be safe, you can always ask for a "contract" stating bagX is bought with Y amount of money and then both of you should sign it. Now there's no way for the SA to run away with your money cuz you can always go back to the store and tell his manager of what he's doing illegally and make him lose his job lol

I paid for a bag by cc over the phone because it was the last one and I didn't want to lose it. The SA mentioned that she lived near me and offered to deliver it to me on her way home from work that night so I didn't have to drive to the store. I was like great sounds good but when I told my husband he said I was crazy and made me call her back and tell her we would pick it up from her at the store. He thinks I trust people too much. He said she could switch the bag for fake one or even not show up and there would be no way to prove it. I felt funny when I went to pick it up. She was just trying to be nice I'm sure but it's not worth the risk of losing $1800.

ooo this is like one of those trenchcoat and dark sunglasses in an alleyway incidents.....oooooo the suspense....

wouldn't do it personally....but if you've been using him for a long time, then go for it....

40%? you and him are getting ripped off. the discount for employees for defect bags, returned bags, and bags with patina is 70%.

these SA's are risk-takers.. i don't do this to my clients at work.. i would so rather say "no" than risk my job/career to do that.

:wtf: what, 70% are you serious. oh my i really want a white suhali lockit. i could get it for practically nothing. hmmm, now i must build a really good relationship with an SA(using my thinking cap). anyway congrats on your new bags:nuts:
