UO is really hit and miss, and the photos on the site can be misleading. They have some FANTASTIC bags for the price, and the pleather is often very soft and supple. However, I've seen a couple that look great online and in store they look so cheap.
You can always return stuff you buy online-they charge you $5.95 if you use the included prepaid sticker. But it's always best to check out the store anyways. They're a good idea for school I think, because they're cheap so you don't mind dumping a ton of stuff in them. However, they may not last too long because the pleather is very thin.
