I am a straight guy that likes women's bags. I guess I am also a risk taker and like doing things society says otherwise so this is kind of fun in some ways.

The challenge here is to find a woman's bag that accommodates a laptop between 10 inches and 13 inches. The bag has to be clearly marketed for women and should preferably be a designer bag but you can suggest premium designer bags.

The greater part of this challenge is the bag has to push the limits of social tolerance without provoking so much call to action that carrying the bag will just become ultimately uncomfortable.

The bag function, design, contour, shape, material, style, and color are your choices to recommend. I am in the market for a bag that I will use daily so a multi-purpose bag would be supremely ideal.

The style can be current or from another generation. Below are some bags I have looked at. Thanks!

Coach Kelsey
Coach Emma
Coach Borough
Dooney Bourke Satchel Florentine
Dooney Bourke Barlow
Michael Kors Backpacks (several, one had flare, a little feminine but possible)
Rebecca Minkoff Backpacks (Julian, others)
Aimee Kestenberg (Backpacks)

Above, I may have misunderstood your comment on pushing social boundaries--my previous suggestion was in the nature of edgy imagery, but you meant gender wise. OK. There are boxy, briefcasey, unisex bags from nearly any designer these days. You could take a look at Sophie Hulme for something a little different.

I don’t think another person would care what bag you are carrying.

Why do you feel a strong need saying it has to be geared to women? Is there some type of statement you want to make that is supposed to shock people?

This post kind of reminds me of the type of questions hight school and college kids would post for some class project.

Well, I'm a straight woman who likes LV Men's messenger bags and canvas coated briefcases. Have you looked at them? I think if you are willing to pay $$$$, you'll find just what you are looking for there.(I wish they made a Speedy 25 or 30 in graphite....)

Have you thought about the LV neverfull ?
You might be the man of my dreams- straight man who likes handbags! Are you married? Lol

Never married, no children, no assets.. I spend all my money on bags and shoes lol... I think my teen years are responsible for my interests in women's fashion because I had quite a few girls as true friends and ended up with knowledge most guys wouldn't want..

I laugh at how socially sensitive the act of men holding a purse actually is.. There are funny videos depicting men holding purses all over the Internet with some throwing the purse, hiding the purse, trying to act man tough with the purse because they can't be seen with a bag..

There are plenty of forum comments from women who clearly state they would never ask their guy to hold their purse to avoid mutual embarrassment... So it goes to show you the level of social discomfort still out there with a guy simply holding a purse as a courtesy.. let alone how much resistance there is pressed against a guy who actually uses one..

I'm a fun open minded anything goes kind of guy for the most part.. I run, hit the gym, do all the normal things anyone else in my gender does.. I just don't have the same level of separation or defense when it comes to what society might consider normal gender behaviors.. I'm still waiting for the opportunity to ask another guy to hold my purse.. That sounds entertaining..

I don't carry a bag at all times it just depends on the circumstance.. For one I don't always need a bag depending on where I am going.. And some environments just aren't practical for carrying one.. For example, I'm not exactly about to carry a leather hobo shoulder bag with tassels to the firing range where I remove my full size Smith and Wesson in preparation for range practice...

btw.. I have considered LVNF before posting and you're right.. it's a candidate for the next buy.. thanks!

Yes some high schools or colleges do social normality projects for psychology where they break social norms and log the data for grading in the class... I am not hosting any kind of study such as that... I just like the style of women's bags and quite honestly, I have found that when the opportunity arises, they make connecting with women easier from the friendship point of view, and they make for great conversation pieces.. whereas other guys are trying to muscle up, that's great and fine, roids will make that happen in some cases, but some would be surprised to learn the softer side of a personality can find some chemistry too..

LV bags are definitely candidates as I mentioned to DaBish... I think they are probably one of the most compatible bags marketed for women that a guy could carry with less criticism.. this because of their design, cost, and celebrity status.. some contours are more feminine but even snoop d o double g carried a speedy at one point.. yeah you like that? didn't see that one coming did you.. snoop d o double g.. who doesn't like gin and juice.. anyway thanks!
