Hey guys! I’m new to Dior, I want to ask you girls opinions about this one. I purchased this mini lady Dior, lotus color in Hawaii last year on my vacation. I rarely use it, recently I took out and noticed there’s unfinished paint under both of the handles. Is this normal? Does any one have this same situation? After more than a yr, can I still take it in the store in CA for them to take a look? Or I just have to deal with it since it has been over a year?

I don't think that is unfinished. I'm wondering if you were using hand lotion when you wore the bag last, because hand lotion can dissolve the wax finish on the leather which gives it the nice pearly sheen. It happens on iridescent and metallic leathers.

Bring it to Dior to see what they can do. But if they don't offer to replace the handles, then I suggest wrapping the handles with Mitzah silk scarves to hide the marks and also to prevent further wear.

I’ll bring it on Monday to see what they’d say. No! I didn’t use lotion… because I hate the stickiness of it , not even use it in the winter. It just weird… not like chipped or rub off. It just dull leather with no paint on it lol. The inside of it, looks fine. Just the outside thou

It's not missing paint. Something happened to the wax finish under the handles. The leather was uniformly finished before it was cut and constructed into the different parts of the bag.

They can replace the handles for you. It might cost, though.
