Tomorrow is my birthday. I got myself a 'birthmas' present. (Also another LV bag, which will arrive later today :smile: ) I got the small camera bag in porcelain rose. I have been wanting this bag for some time, it is the perfect size, and the leather is beautiful. The bag arrived today.

I open the package. The gucci packaging - the box and the cover - looks beaten up (bent, corner tore off a little). I go past that. Because i honestly don't care much for such things, even with luxury shopping. But with shopping online, these things do touch a nerve. And then i look at the bag, and it is in the wrong color :annoyed: They sent me the black one. Also, is it normal to have the strap all bent and tugged in in a corner? I feel like i may need to iron the strap.

And then i take out and inspect the bag and i see some peeling on both the sides where the strap attaches to the bag. I am somewhat bummed. After trying out the bag and trying to see what fits in....I do like the black too. (I always like black). Should i keep or return? I wanted the nude color but black is never not my color in any bag, lol. :sad:

If you have to start a thread and you receive the wrong color I think you know the answer. Return. Not worth thinking about

Another reminder not to make significant online purchases very close to Christmas.
 
Yea, not only that, there was no dustbag, and the straps were not wrapped. Seems like somebody has returned it and Gucci has directly shipped it to me without re inspecting
Wrong color and damaged? That is so disappointing. Definitely return. Hopefully they will be able to send out the one you wanted in exchange.

Ordered from gucci.com? So unlike any service I've ever received from their ecomm! Def return, but I'd even call customer service. I suspect something happened!

Yes, I ordered from gucci.com! I was surprised too. I have returned it. I am going to call them also, probably over the weekend. I still want the nude color. May be i will try to get them send me the correct color one more time. :hrmm:
 
I had an online chat on the website about this, and the Gucci person who was talking to me completely ignored what i was telling him. He simply ended the conversation. Guess they just do not like me.

It might have not been a real person or they might have been helping a number of other people and only have stock answers that they can respond with. Although, I don’t imagine they are going to speculate over what went wrong with you. But I don’t think it has anything to do with them not liking you.

Hmm, I only stated the liking thing jokingly, i thought that was funny the way the chat went, haha. :biggrin: Guess i should have just called, i am so lazy about calling customer service. :P Somebody introduced to me with a name in the beginning so it is likely a real person, but again.. that may be a robo name.
I am not expecting any speculation/an answer or anything. The answer is obvious anyway. Just curious since i find what occurred with the bag a bit of an unlikely event and worthy of a report. :smile:
