My mum has offered to give me her ring which she no longer uses or wants after I said I wanted a sapphire ring. However, the band is yellow gold and the setting isnt something I like. It looks a lot like this but without the side diamonds. Basically I only want the sapphire and not the rest unless they can incorporate the diamonds in a way I like. I have no idea how to go about finding somewhere that does resettings and if its actually possible to just keep the centre sapphire stone...
I have seen a different sapphire ring for approx £300 so I would want my redesign to be cheaper than that otherwise there isnt much point.
