Personally, I like the new chain better on the MEDIUM flap.

IMO, the new chain seems a little out of proportion--not substantial enough--on the JUMBO flap.

You hit the nail on the head for me. I like the jumbo new chain but something looked odd. i do like it more on the medium.

Oh and that's a great idea of tying a knot with the hair elastic. My Chanel SA said tying a knot would not harm the strap and she showed me how to do it so thats how I've been carrying it.

I love the change. The old chain with leather interwoven was so heavy, and added to the already heavy caviar jumbo bag - well it was hard to carry. I'm thrilled about the new chain.

I passed on a call for a red jumbo. It was nice, but didn't have the wow factor as my red medium flap and red classic-timeless tote have to me when I first saw them.
