U.S. H.Com Shopping Question

Last night I could not sleep so after catching up on TPF I decided to do a little shopping for scarves on H.com. Well I placed my order and received the "Thank you for your order" page. It also stated that I should receive a confirmation email and an email when my item ships. I have been waiting for my confirmation email that my order has been placed and I logged onto my credit card website and nothing shows pending in recent transactions. :shrugs:What I'm wondering is did my order go through? :thinkin:I placed my order at 2 am this morning and nothing. I can't even contact customer service because it's not a business day. Can someone put my mind at ease? Anyone have this experience? I can't help it. I'm a little impatient :wondering:shucks:

i'm sure it went through. it will probably ship on monday- that's why no additional email was sent. don't worry-once it is sent it arrives in an instant (at least to the east coast, i usually get mine overnight once shipped) hope you enjoy your new goodies? what did you get?;)
 
Thank you Tesi. I'm a little impatient because I'm leaving for Paris this Friday and wanted to get the scarves before I left because no one will be at home to receive them. I'm not good with scarf names and last night was all a blur because I looked through so many scarves that now I can't even remember what I purchased :laugh: I know one is Aux Pays des Epices. This was first on my shopping cart. I wish H.com had a shopping history tab where you can check on your order. This would make life so much easier!

you will love aux pays des epices, gorgeous, plenty of detail and various colors...dreamy. you are too funny, enjoy whatever it is that you receive. pretend it is a gift and a big surprise! and have a great time in paris...going anywhere special???? mothership perhaps...
 
I am going to send this over to the shopping sub, but please give us an update on this, now that H has more and more goodies on the website, people are going to have more questions like this, I am sure. :flowers:
 
I have found that the website is not terribly reliable. If you did not receive a confirmation number, and no confirmatory e-mail, I would definitely call customer service on Monday to check. This is not to distress you, but based on my experience.

Now I really can't remember what I ordered except for that one scarf. :wtf: I had a whole list in my shopping cart but didn't have $10,500 to spend at one time so I started deleting scarves from my cart that I could live without. So really it will be a big surprise for me :p This will be my first time in Europe so I've already made a list of all the H shops in London, Paris, Cannes, Nice and Monaco. To make my trip memorable I plan on picking up a little memento in every store :graucho: Perhaps a scarf at one store, a scarf ring in another. I'm hoping to pick up a Birkin or Kelly at the mothership if I'm lucky :graucho: I'll do a reveal when I get back even if I'm Birkenless and Kellyless.


Thank you Mindy B. The website was moving a little slow so hopefully my purchase still went through. I'll definitely give them a call Monday. I always cut and paste my purchase confirmation and email it to myself but for some reason this time I didn't.
 
Yes, this exact thing did happen to me...I got the 'Thank you for your Order' page and then no emails. But the order had gone through and I received the shipping email the day it shipped (which had my confirmation # on it) but not the initial email that I'd received in the past ordering from there. Finally I found it in My Spam after I'd already received the package.

I've always had positive experiences when shopping on H.com. I would guess that the reason you didn't get any confirmation e-mails is because it's the weekend, and their customer service is only available Monday through Friday. I bet you'll get your shipping confirmation e-mail on Monday!

Just to clarify, my experiences on H.com have been 100% positive. The only time I was worried was when I didn't get that first email that time. But the order was in their system and I got it really fast. And I think smallfry is right...I was thinking it was an auto-generated confirmation email, but maybe it isn't. Other times I got it immediately except that once and truthffully, since it was found in My Spam later, I don't really know when it was sent.

I am sure it will be fine!
 
Irishlass and Smallfry thank you for your input. I've checked my spam folder and junk email folder and nothing. I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that it's being processed in their computer. Perhaps Irishlass you are right and that the confirmation email is not automated like most companies but I would have thought that there would be a pending charge on my online statement. Perhaps they don't actually run the charge until they get ready to package everything. Oh well I guess I will just have to wait it out. :tumbleweed: Thanks ladies!
 
I have had mixed results with H.com.

First of all, I forgot my password, and in spite of repeated requests (by phone) they have never reset it. (bad)

I have received everything I have ordered (good), except I have to order by phone (bad).

Last year, I returned a tohu bohu shawl, - I gave them plenty of time to refund my credit card but it never showed - when I called about it, they lost the returned item. They finally found it, so after about 3 months I got my refund (very bad).

Now if I see anything I want, I try to go through a nice SA that I met.
 
When I've placed orders over the weekend, I haven't always received an email confirmation, but my orders are always processed Monday.


Thanks Hermes Nuttynut. Good to know that my order still has a chance of being processed on Monday. Last night I was looking at H.com and added items to the shopping cart just to see if the website was acting up and sure enough there was something wrong with the website. Hmmm. Perhaps I will do what Florasun does and either phone in my order to an actual person or try to find the item through my SA. I usually go through my SA so that she gets the commission but I didn't have time this week to stop by the boutique. I hope on-line orders are not connected to my store's computer system otherwise my SA may know that I cheated on her :busted
 
Update - I just got off the phone with the H.com rep and she said that my order will ship out today :yahoo: When I told her that I never received a confirmation email which is computer generatedshe said that she has received complaints from customers who use sbcglobal as their internet provider. She said that they are currently working on a fix. She also said that customers who use other email providers like Yahoo or Hotmail, etc are not affected.
