So I just bought this super pretty silk leopard scarf (it's Christian Audigier...I'm not that into his line anymore, but the scarf is pretty) and I'm struggling with the best way to tie it...any suggestions?

DamierAddict, I totally agree! That is what I do all the time, so easy and so neat and you don't get those extra long ends in the way when you are walking!

Hermes makes an AWESOME booklet about all of the ways you can tie a scarf. It might be fun for you to get--they are easy to find on ebay and are inexpensive and might give you some really interesting ideas!

Great thread! I am always looking for fun new ways to tie/use my scarves. Does anyone have good ideas for tying large silk scarves (Hermes-size, etc) onto handbags? I have a great vintage YSL scarf that I'd like to tie on but it just seems like there is so much silk that it's not going to look delicate.

Ascot Knot

Step 1 Let the scarf hang around your neck equally on each shoulder
Step 2 Take one end (A) and bring it towards the other (B).
Step 3 Let A pass from under B.
Step 4 Bring A upwards to make a knot as illustrated.
Step 5 Adjust both the ends equally facing downwards.

Neck Wrap

Step 2 Cross over both the sides.

Step 3 Give the sides another cross.

Step 4 Bring both the ends towards the back of the neck.

Step 5 Pass one end through the other as shown to tie a simple knot.

Step 6 This is the knot at the back of the neck

Hollywood Knot
Step 1 Fold the scarf according to the basic fold 2
Step 2 Place the scarf around your neck; situating it so that one end is about two inches longer (A) than the other end (B).

Step 3 Cross A over B and let it pass through B so that a sort of hoop is formed.

Step 4 Let A pass through it again and bring it down facing forward
Step 5 Adjust your scarf by straightening the front part (A).

Step 6 Your Hollywood knot is ready!
