Hi All!

My 50th birthday is right around the corner. I'd like to celebrate with some earrings and am debating which one.

I'm hoping to pick out something special and am thinking of these in no particular order. I wear mainly yg but feel that diamond earrings look sparklier in wg, so possibly the 3 below will be in white gold.

-Vintage Alhambra studs with diamonds
-Frivole studs with diamonds mini model
-Socrates studs, 1 flower

If you've got any other suggestions for this special occasion, please share!
I would love to add more VCA necklaces or bracelets than I already own, but I only have one pair of earrings from VCA. Thus, my reason for earrings. Currently I have the 3 flower yg Frivole which I love and wear very often.

They're all beautiful with different aesthetics, I'd say try on all of them to see what you like best. I personally find the mini frivole to be underwhelming only because I have long hair & leave it down most of the time. Are you interested in the small lotus earrings at all? Those are stunning in person & super sparkly, I'd suggest you to try them on too!

Thanks for your input! The Lotus earrings are the ones I have not tried on. I am curious about it now. It does seem like it would sparkle so much and different from my Frivoles. I'll consider them!

Thank you! Haha, I was going to add the 2 motif with stone and pave on my list but I wanted to keep it brief so didn't include them. The 2 motif earrings are pretty special, aren't they? They're not every day but definitely a memorable keepsake that I would take out still often and be very happy with. I love feminine styles!

I would consider the small pave Frivole. Those seem to be a favorite. I did try the non pave small ones on and they looked a little too big for my earlobes so that's why I didn't consider them. However, I agree that the mini seems a little underwhelming, though subtle pieces can be so endearing too. Thank you for your thoughts!

I do agree that the mini feels a little underwhelming but in the pave not so much. It is a more subtle look though, I agree with you. The small size does look a tad too big with what I'm comfortable with but it is so stunning. I might have to go back and try them again. Since I am looking for a more memorable piece, the small size might give me more joy whenever I put them on. I'm not of the mentality 'go big or go home' but in this case, I do like the idea of the earrings having more presence (sparkle) on my ears. Hehe. Thanks for your suggestion!

Definitely give them another try. This is a special birthday! You deserve to shine your brightest. They really are so elegant and the dimension of the design seems to add a glow to the face. If you feel up to it, please share your choice. Good luck and enjoy.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. If you already have something in necklace, then it would make sense to buy earrings in that collection. They could be a set. Or worn separately to your choosing.

Anyway, happy shopping. I dropped in here mostly to wish you a happy 50th birthday. This calls for a huge celebration! :smile:

Try them on again. I have miniature lobes and I felt the small frivoles were huge at first but got use to them. I have the yg pave and wear them a lot. I started off wearing them for special occasions but quickly became comfortable with them and I now wear a lot for work and dinners. They are more ‘pretty’ than the Alhambra pave and I find look less branded. I get many compliments from random people that seem to have no idea on them being branded, just pretty. Try the yg pave if you can (a bit less bling and maybe appear smaller) though I would get the wg pave given you have yg covered.
