Hi everyone! I need your jewelry design expertise. Six years ago my DH gave me a beautiful diamond 3 stone pendant as a push gift when my dd was born. I want to repurpose it into something else- either a ring or another pendant that looks more updated. Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone done something with their 3 stone pendants to give it a more chic, updated look? Thanks so much in advance for your thoughts!

How big are these diamonds? I would make a multi-station, dbty necklace by utilizing these three diamonds and adding additional diamonds for the spacing and necklace length that you want. I'll be happy to give you recommendation on the design of your necklace.

To start, think about how long you want your necklace to be, 16", 17", 18" 32", 34", or 36" (the longer length for layering option). Size of diamonds will dictate placement and also size of additional diamonds to get.

Also think about metal choice for the necklace abd dbty bezel, Wg, YG, or platinum.

I'm not quite sure about the size of them, honestly. My appraisal is in the safety deposit box so I can't look. I already own a DBTY type necklace- I think I'd either love a different type of pendant or else a beautiful ring- thanks so much for your input! Pictures would be terrific if you have any :smile1:

Maybe, depending on the size of the stones, make a five stone ring? You can get rubies, sapphires, etc, for the other two stones.

What month was your dd born? You can get two more stones to represent her birthday.

Love that idea-I think the stones are too big though for that idea. When DH bought it, he told me the large stone represents him, the middle stone, my son, and the smallest stone, my little girl :hugs:

that's a cool idea! Do you think it would look like I'm wearing three Erings on top of each other? Maybe combine some smaller stones around them? Any pics of what you are envisioning? I am sooooo bad with the visioning of what it could look like :(
