Trying to decide what bag to buy for a few formal events I have upcoming

Hi,

Over the next few months, I will be having a lot of weddings and other formal events so I am looking to get a bag for it. So far I am looking at the YSL Belle, Kate or the Chanel Caviar Quilted Medium Boy Flap. But I am open to other suggestions. Regarding the Chanel, I am concerned that it may be too big for a clutch.

During a regular day, I rotate between a few different Celine's, as well as either my Constance or my Kelly. I go for the more classic looks.

What bag/clutch would you suggest? As far as budget is concerned, I wouldn't spend as much as my Kelly but I am willing to spend more for better quality and for a design I like. At these events, Hermes would not be out of place.

Agree with DB8 I will add Hermes kelly pochette and egee, LV petite malle. If you wear silver tone jewelry then Tiffany bean clutch would be cute too.

I don't use clutch a lot so my suggestions are based on the looks and your collection, not my experience Good luck searching

Think about what you need to carry as well as the silhouette of the dress/outfit. I need my keys and I need my phone (so that's the Medor 23 out the window). If I go maxi, nothing looks right but a sleek clutch but for cocktail I could do a handheld structured bag and then I don't have to juggle drink/food/bag/shaking hands.

If you're going for a clutch, bear in mind how many times and how long you'll be handling it so think about colour.

I like my Hermes '1938' 25. 1938s have been around again recently but I don't know if they make them that big anymore. It just about holds all my things. I that bag. The Constance wallet is also lovely if you can go that slim.

Agreeing with @DB8, a BV Knot/Stretch Knot/Chain Knot would be a lovely addition. (K)not sure if a phone will fit in a reg. Knot though.

Tiffany EP silver Bean clutch would be stunning! It is small though (16.5cm)

Hard "no" on the Boy. Far too casual for a wedding unless it's at a court house. I like clutches with a chain, myself. Even a WOC from a good brand works.

Bottega Veneta Knot all the way. Classic and beautiful. The YSLs are just plain bags with big logos, and I don’t get the Boy at all. Those are all trendy options that could look dated very soon.
