Trunk show?!?

Hey all!

I bought my first Dior bag today (YAYY!) and was also coincidently invited to the Dior Trunk Show which is going to be taking place in a couple of days. I'm over the moon about this, but there's one problem: I have no idea what a "trunk show" is.
Can someone please explain? Also, what can I expect at a Dior "trunk show"?

P.S. It was a large cherry red Lady Dior in patent leather with silver hardware. Ahhh, I'm so in love with it!

Enjoy your new bag. A trunk show is when a company sends samples of their product line, usually everything the store has ordered for a season. It can be clothes and or accessories. Things usually are only shown in sample size, and can be preordered for the next season.
