I love Loewe but I LOVE a good crossbody. My DH is also loving Loewe so much that he keeps gifting me mini Gate bags, but even for me at 5'2" the strap on longest setting is still too short imo. (I think he loves the price point vs Chanel lol)
I'm short waisted and busty so a crossbody hitting my nearly non existent waist is not flattering! lol :annoyed: I'm not long and waify, I can't pull off a lot.

He just surprised me with a 3rd mini Gate... I haven't had the heart to tell him I think 2 was plenty. I started looking at exchange options because I LOVE the Flamenco but its strap appears to be even shorter! I find the mini Puzzle hard to get into when I try it on, but it has the longest strap length.
Does that opening soften up? Any fans of the mini Puzzle?
I do like "minis" a we go to events a lot and they can barely make it through the approved bag size permissions typically.

Am I missing something? Does Loewe just not make crossbody bags w/ long straps like other designers? Am I missing a style that may be better for me?
I'd like to quietly exchange this recent gift for something I'll use a bunch... trying REALLLL hard not to dissuade the sweet gifts from DH lol

mini Flamenco Strap length: 96-120 cm
mini Gate Strap length: 84 - 126 cm
mini Puzzle Strap length: 108.5 - 137 cm

Your hubby sounds sweet, but you have to tell him how you feel! Your post triggered a memory…My first boyfriend bought me a James Avery heart necklace a few decades ago and I didn’t have the heart to tell him how I felt so guess what his next gift to me was?? A ring with a heart charm! I learned my lesson! My husband knows I am selective but he makes an effort with gifts and we both attach ourselves more to the sentiment than the actual gift so exchanging is never an issue. I’m sure your husband would understand.

I have the mini puzzle and two mini flamencos. To be honest, I don’t reach for the puzzle as much since I bought the flamencos. The flamencos are easy to get in and out of compared to the puzzle and the hold more. I’ve contemplated selling my mini puzzle. It packs quite a bit for a mini bag but it can be annoying to retrieve things. I can fit a pack of tissues, keys, a card holder, my phone, a chapstick and a small tube of hand lotion in it. I like it for travel though because it’s a carefree bag. I also enjoy using the top handle.

The only downside of the mini flamenco that I’ve noticed is that the corners of my black one are a tiny bit scuffed. It’s about a year old and I wear this bag crossbody mostly maybe a couple times a week but am not rough with my bags so I’ve concluded that the calfskin is not as durable as the calfskin on my puzzles. I still love the flamenco though and would recommend it. You could always purchase an additional longer crossbody strap from Loewe. They make some really lovely and unique straps.

The men's collection has some good ones. These things should really not be divided by gender in my opinion. I am a woman and have been shopping from the men's collection in the past year. It suits my casual lifestyle more.

You would have loved the puzzle hobo messenger. Sadly they discontinued it.

In all fairness I am honest and he is a great listener, which is why I'm in this situation lol. I loved the first 2 so much, but I didn't expect a 3rd one! His love language is gifting and although it's not mine, per se... I don't hate it lol HOWEVER, I'd love to make sure a great gift isn't wasted so I'd love to try a different style.
I LOVVVVVE the Flamenco but as I said before, the strap is actually shorter than the mini Gate so that doesn't fix my issue. The mini Puzzle is tight to get in so that's an issue, ughhhhh.
Great suggestion to look at straps for the Flamenco or the mens/unisex lines, I agree, I couldn't care less the gender it's intended for. If it works, it works! Wish the Mini Gate strap options were better.

I’ve never tried on the mini Gate but I have the mini Puzzle and mini Flamenco.
Of the two I definitely prefer the mini Flamenco. It’s so versatile and light and roomy - an all round high achiever for me.

I’m 5’4” with an average bust and I like where the Flamenco sits on me at the longest length. It’s not too short. Any longer and I think it would slap around when I walk, which I can’t stand. It might work on you … maybe worth trying because it’s such an awesome little bag and perfect for events and travel as well as daily wear.

My mini Puzzle is an older style with a long, non-adjustable strap. Too long to wear crossbody unless I put knots in the strap. I prefer carrying it by the handle anyway with a Loewe gold donut chain hanging down that works for shoulder carry. I also have a Loewe jacquard strap for it and I use that one crossbody for a casual look. It’s a very nice little bag but the mini Puzzle isn’t as easy to use as the Flamenco and it’s not as versatile either.

Your DH sounds like an absolute gem Swanky!!

What we did with the mini flamenco strap previously when we bought one for my partner's mum was to have our SA punch extra holes in the strap to accommodate for a longer drop. But yes there are very few true crossbody bags from Loewe other than the camera bag and the cubi messenger.

He is a gem!!! I'm a total rotten egg lol

So the Flamenco strap is even shorter than the mini Gate, and I already find the mini Gate too short with my "girls". But I so love the design, much like the BV Pouch that I've always loved - great as a clutch and a handbag; so versatile!
The mini Puzzle's strap length is ideal, but it's so structured it seems very hard to get into/out.
I will definitely look into strap options... the mini Gate's strap is limited as it's a loop system not a hook, so hopefully the options are greater with Flamenco!
I definitely don't want to make a scene and exchange it for something that I will carry even less than the mini Gate.

Appreciate all the help!
