Trouble with Fendi lining?

I've been curious about something for a long time. I have a Fendi roll tote that I love (denim with tulle flowers...sorry no pictures right now). I bought it preloved and almost nothing, so did not mind that the lining was trashed. I mean, the satin was thick and divine, but the seam was ripped and shredded. I really don't mind and maybe, someday, I will replace the lining or create a patch or something. But what has always bothered me about that is that I can see how the lining was made, and the seam was not overlocked or cover-stitched, nothing. It was just a seam on a fabric that can easily pull away from a seam.

It kind of made me think, Fendi, dude, really?

But still, didn't worry about it.

Just for grins, I was looking at Baguettes and I saw one on eBay that also had the satin lining pulled away from the seam. I cannot see the underside of the lining, but suspect it too was not overlocked.

But I don't see any discussions about it here. Has anyone else had this problem?
