Trip to Hermes Paris

Hello Hermes Family,

I am planning a trip to Paris on Friday 21st to see if I can locate a graphite birkin 35, also loved pics of the etoupe, but not sure if that's available now.

I have been wanting one for ages, and have decided to bite the bullet so to speak.

I'm a bit of a novice to the bag side of Hermes (purchased accessories mostly) so i was hoping to get any tips or suggestions as to what combination to go for.

I've been through all the threads and still can't decide

While both are lovely, between the two colors, I prefer etoupe -- either with palladium or gold hw.

I think when you get to Paris... if they have any birkins available, you will often find that a choice is made for you. I went specifically for a black birkin with ghw, it was offered to me in 40cm, but I declined

However I spent 3 days going in and out of that beautiful store and on the last day I was offered a raisin with phw in size 35, which was what I wanted (I had an order in at home for raisin with ghw) and faced a 18 month wait.... so I grabbed that baby and have never looked back

Also because of the high cost of birkins in Australia I now will head overseas to purchase, cos I love my holidays and would rather have a holiday and a birkin for the same price as a birkin at home

Wishing you all the best of luck. Early morning is good, just after lunch and also late afternoon, I believe the days I was there they seemed to have 3 deliveries a day.

Also on this forum it might come forward that going to Paris is the magic fix of finding a bag. Finding "a bag" in Paris is easier than in most other places, but finding "the bag" is not. It also not always that they let you order a bag, February should however help since it is early in the season.

Does anyone have contact information for the SA at the George V store? He is about 60, speaks English, slim built? I THINK his name is DomInic? I may be wrong. He gave me his card and I misplaced it.

I'm a huge fan of etoupe and I have not seen graphite being offered recently. Not sure if it's currently in production. Current season gray is gris mouette. Good luck!
