I have my eye on a kelly 28 retourne. I got my first last year a BBK 32 sellier and it's lovely, I just find that I only reach for it on a bit nicer outfit occasions! I want to add a retourne for every day and go back and forth between gold and etoupe. I found a pristine TRENCH 28 and really love the color, but wonder how it does as an everday bag color. I haven't been able to find a lot of posts about it and would love some feedback. This one is a big purchase and want to make sure it's a GOOD ONE!!!

Even though gold, etoupe, and trench all fall into the brownish color family, I find them very different so it's hard to answer this without knowing your wardrobe preferences. Etoupe is a cool brown while gold and trench look warmer to me. Gold is much deeper of a color than trench, so if you like warmer browns and tans, and you tend to wear more vibrant vs more muted colors, than I'd go for gold over trench (and vice versa if it's the opposite). So I'd probably first establish which undertone works better for you and go from there.
YES! It's such a tricky choice! I think I really am leaning towards trench. I don't wear vibrant colors. Very neutral with lots of ivory and camel. I just wonder if trench is too light for everyday wear? I want to have this bag a long time and wear it a lot!!!!
If you adore trench, I think that counts for a lot. You will wear what you love, and adjust your palette to make room for it.
I have a trench B25. I wear it quite a bit. It goes with everything because it’s perfectly neutral, not too warm, not too cool.

I love trench. It's different than gold and etoupe which are everyone's go-to neutral colors which is why I prefer it. I think it's a great neutral, mid-tone color that will serve you well as an everyday all-season bag.

I am beyond excited. I'm been looking and debating on the specifics for a YEAR and finally decided enough was enough! ANALYSIS PARALYSIS and then I found a pristine 2021 K28... which plastic still on it. SQUEEEEE. It was a sign to finally do it!
