treating vs. not treating new vachetta

Just wondering if I babied my new LV that the vachetta would still get a nice patina over the years without using any kind of protection treatment creams/sprays. I want to treat the leather, but i'm scared the bag will darken and there are so many products to choose from- don't know what's best. I really want to avoid treating it... any imput? Thanks guys!

I think that the vachetta is suppose to darken nicely over time without using products. This is assuming you don't get it dirty or anything.

I've never treated any of my LV bags and they are all lovely. I know many people here use various products with good results. LV does not recommend treating the vachetta.

I use "For Handles Only" on the vachetta and I have nice even patina on all my bags.
