Traveling with necklaces

What do you ladies do to insure that you don't get knots in your chains when you travel? How do you pack necklaces?

I don't usually travel with a lot of necklaces so I like to take a few separate jewelry bags and separate them. If I can't do that then I just clasp them and I usually don't have any problems. It's when I forget to clasp necklaces that they get tangled with others.

I saw on pinterest where you thread one side through a bendy straw then clasp them and they stay unknotted

Or leave the end of the chain out of the bag and zip lock it around it!

this is what I do, or I use tiffany pouches and put half the chain on one side of the pouch and the other half on the opposite. then tie the string really tight!

I use the bendy straw trick too! it is great, you can use them for bracelets too if you cut them shorter.

That straw thing is a really great idea! I've been having that problem in just storing them too. I have so many chains and everything is one big knotted mess. lol I do the Tiffany bag trick but even then, especially when I have a 30" chain, it gets all tangled up still.
