Traveling with a metallic bag

I'd like to carry a metallic mini Bourough half way across the country to the in-laws for Christmas/ New Years, and if that goes well, down home to NOLA in mid February. Have you travelled with a metallic bag? How did it go? How does your metallic bag do in bad weather, such as Midwest conditions? I baby my favorite bags, and it will never touch the ground without a dustbag, and if weather is wet, it will go inside my coat. Thanks!

I have no idea how well it will travel. Every time I plan a trip, I start out wanting to take my favorite, prettiest bags but I'm always too nervous that something will happen to them. If I were you, I would probably take the patent mini Cora as it will handle any kind of weather.

I have travelled with metallic bags. Travel does not really put any extra strain on them. I live in Michigan and use metallic bags in bad weather all the time and as long as you condition them before you use them they will be fine.

It depends on what kind of metallic it is. Coach has made a lot of different metallic finishes. You'd get more help posting your question with pictures or at least the name of the style in the Rehab club.
