Hi all-been stalking this board for a few weeks. I am normally a devoted LV chica but I can in no way justify spending over $800 on a wallet. I have been looking at the Travel Zip Continental wallet and am about ready to take the plunge on the new grape color, need some color in my life lol.

Just wanted to see for those that have it, how does it hold up? Zipper smooth? And if you have another style wallet you prefer, would love to hear your opinions on that as well.

This is a bit off topic, but have you considered a preowned LV wallet? I got my LV Zippy Organizer in epi noir preowned on eBay, it was barely used and in mint condition, and I got it for 1/3 of the retail price.

I did, I just get nervous with ebay and authenticity. Plus I wanted to get something with a pop of color. That's awesome you found such a good deal!

Understood. I had to cross my fingers and pray with that purchase because the pictures were terrible. I got super lucky, though, because there were at least 6 other watchers and no one wanted to pull the trigger because of the authenticity risk. It ended up not only being authentic, but in mint condition, as well.

I think the MK wallets are pretty well made. I looked at a few before my eBay purchase. I just didn't buy one. Some of the other girls who own the travel zip wallet should be able to chime in. :smile1:

I have a monogram LV zippy. It's very well made and I don't see it just falling apart. 1st off it was a gift and even though I did not pay for it I can't help but feel like it was WAY too much for a wallet. I mean really, it just holds cash and cc. If you can get it second hand, GO for it! Nothing wrong with it. I like a deal like everybody else too. I have 3 LV neverfulls and for what the wallet cost a few years ago, I could have added some cash and bought another neverfull before price increases. Just my 2 cent. Go for the cheaper wallet. MK makes great wallets. My mom loves hers and as much as they go on sale you could buy one in every color you want.

I totally agree. Either get a preowned LV wallet or take your pick of the assortment of MK wallets. I'm in love with my preowned LV Zippy Organizer because it's much larger with a lot more compartments than a regular sized wallet and matches my LV handbag. :smile1:

Thanks all for your thoughts!! I went ahead and ordered a Grape Zip Wallet from Macy's with their F&F sale. Although, they cancelled my order yesterday saying the item was unavailable, called back in today and they said it was an error and I am getting free express shipping now.

I guess that Grape color is pretty popular right now, it was sold out in all the stores in my surrounding area, which is a lot! Will report back when I get it!! :smile1:
