Found a travel bag that I love. I really, really want to carry this bag next time I get to travel to our main office in New York, and next time I drive down to San Diego for vacation. Should I get it?

Part of me is worried buying it would be a waste of money. Will the company ever send me to the New York office again? I know some business travel will eventually resume, but not likely to the level it was before. What if it's only 'important' business travel, and I don't qualify?

But the fear of never getting to travel again is a huge part of why I want to buy a travel bag. As a promise to myself that I will use it - that I will travel again. For myself, if not for work. And if I'm going to get a travel bag, this is the one I want.

So, should I get the bag? Or would it be a waste of money? Is it worth planning for future travel?

A big 13×18×5 personal item/carry on bag for flying. Or just pack and throw in the car if driving.
For sure worth the investment then! Large personal item size bag is so versatile - stick it under your seat when you’re flying, have it as a weekender bag for a quick trip, day bag for when you need it. The Neverfull or Keepall B 45 (or Speedy B 40) would be great for this. I just bought an On The Go GM for this reason!

Congratulations on your new On The Go GM! :yahoo: Would love to see a pic! Please...

I've gotten almost obsessed with Asprinal of London. Especially the Aerodrome line. Love the details and inspiration from the RAF Spitfire. The model in the pic is the British super model it's a collaboration with, and I figure a model knows a bit about what makes a good travel bag, with all the travel they do.

Hello David Gandy, my future husband!! That’s a handsome-looking bag as well. It looks like it could fit a fair amount, classy and the leather will probably age well with use!

Here’s my new On The Go!!
Great bag! Enjoy! I like the larger pattern on it. Small pattern would probably not look as good on a large travel bag.

There is a lighter tan version, but I think this darker leather will be better for not showing dirt or wear. Those disgusting airport bins and conveyor belts! Ugh... And the floors/under the seat on the airplane.

Definitely the darker leather! It looks like it won’t show dirt and couldn’t be wiped off easily!

Me too, I'll be trying on the Speedy B 40 and the Keepall B 45; people say the 45 gives the bag more support and structure since the thick straps go all the way down the sides and the bottom, as opposed to the sag the 40 might give you at the bottom (unless you have a base shaper?). Something to consider!
