Dear All,

I need a travel Bag / Duffle Bag. It should not be too big (cabine size for flights) but also big enough to fit some stuff, including a Handbag like Kelly 28 or Chanel Boy or Jumbo, a Laptop, iPad, a book, make up pouch, a scarf, sunglasses and glasses.
It should have a zipper to close and ideally a shoulder strap.

Of course I thought about a LV Keepall (45 or 50), as it is a lightweight and sturdy bag and I like the opportunity to put my initials on it. But as a second thought, to be honest, I don’t think that a Keepall is the best idea as a travel bag in terms of safety aspects. The brand is well known worldwide and I think, it would be best to be a little more discrete.

So, now I am totally uninspired. Any recommendations or ideas?

I posted a similar thread last night and some folks suggested looking at Longchamp. They have a travel bag (not specifically a duffle style) and offer lots of personalization options through their My Pliage Club and My Pliage Signature lines. This might be an option for you.

I am a fan of Longchamp. It is discreet and basically unbranded. Nylon is lightweight, durable, easy to clean. It is quite affordable compared to other luxury travel bags. I throw mine around all the time when I travel and I appreciate that it is carefree and one less thing for me to worry about.

I love my MW Wallace medium sized metro tote (it comes in a larger size too). Lightweight, flexible in shape to hold anything including smaller bags, more organizational pockets than Longchamp, and a luggage sleeve. Comes with detachable shoulder strap. Fits under airplane seat and no issue with being a personal item. Can't find anything else superior, and I always come back to it, even though sometimes I'd like a different bag just for a change!

This is good to know. I have one on order for an upcoming trip!

Have you looked at Reisenthel? Super practical and lightweight, loads of options ...

I recently switched to a small Lo & Sons Catalina Deluxe for my travel bag. It’s sturdy, discreet, and affordable, and big enough to fit another bag inside. It has a trolley sleeve and a detachable shoulder strap. They have several other travel bag options as well. I also tried the OG2. I loved the compartments and organization, but I found it a little heavy and not quite big enough for what I need. I like that several of their bags have non-black interiors. Before I was using a black LeSportsac with a black interior and I was constantly panicking that I couldn’t find my phone, passport, etc.
Lo & Sons is having a sale on a lot of their stuff right now.

Reisenthel is a good option if you want nylon. I have their M travel bag - only it's from the kids' collection as their other lines don't have a trolley sleeve. Which baffles me.
Their all-rounder L pocket has a sleeve according to their website. The one I have doesn't - but is super lightweight, and holds so much, including exterior pockets for passport etc - definitely worth looking at their range

Hi - does the small Lo & Sons Catalina Deluxe fit underneath the seat in front of you on a plane? Thanks.

I would say it does in most situations if it’s not stuffed. I have had a couple of weird business class situations where very little fit under the seat in front of me, including my Catalina, but I think it was more due to quirkiness in how the seats were configured. Most of the time it’s fine.

I've looked at these bags online for a long time! With the Catalina Deluxe, how does the bag sit if you don't put anything in the bottom "shoe" compartment?
