Hello ladies and gents!

I am looking to let go of some watches that I haven't really been using and purchase new ones but no way would I even dare to sell by myself... too scared of scammers! I was thinking about trading them in but the only reputable places that I know of here in Las Vegas that do trade ins are Tourneau and Ben Bridge. And Ben Bridge only accepts Rolexes.

I have heard that Tourneau isn't the best place to get a good deal, I have read so many things about how bloated the price of their preowned pieces are and that they don't give you that great of a deal for trade ins. I have always bought brand new, but my husband has bought preowned from Tourneau and we had a pretty good experience but I have to admit we did not really shop around. They just have such an amazing selection of preowned watches, and we don't know where else to go that is reputable.

I have heard that Gray and Sons is pretty good, although there is not much about them here on the forum. Can anyone chime in with a recent experience with them? It might be a bonus to do business with them since I am guessing we will be saving on tax as they are in Florida? They are completely trustworthy, right? I am so scared of getting a fake, which is why I always bought new from authorized dealers. I just do not have enought knowledge to authenticate a used piece.

I am looking to let go of a ladies Cartier all steel Santos, all steel with rubber strap Cartier 21 Chrono and a 2tone ladies datejust Rolex with a jubilee bracelet. I want to trade them in for a men's all steel Rolex with an oyster bracelet (not sure what DH wants exactly, think he wants an Exp II) and I want a simple 2tone midsize with an oyster bracelet this time. Even though I am losing 3 and only getting 2, that's still a pretty good trade-up right?

Thank you!

I've personally dealt with Gray and Sons a few months ago when I sold them my Cartier Panther 18K White Gold Ltd Edition. They were by far the best people to deal with. They also offered the most money for the watch. I have nothing but good things to say about them. I was a bit hesitant to deal with them at the beginning( I am in Toronto and they are in Miami), but it turned out really well for me. Good luck!

Not sure I would go for a trade-in, if I were you I would sell the watches you don't wear and buy from Auction houses or Ebay. Just make sure you do your research... authentication(some of the ladies at jewelry forum are super helpful). I bought 3 watches this way within past couple of years and frankly I don't like to buy from stores as their mark-up on watches and other jewelry is quite high.
