The Handmaid's tale is a very interesting book, from a woman's perspective.

How about Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer? It's not fiction but the movie is coming out soon...it might be interesting to compare the movie with the book.

Lovely Bones... This book made me weep... especially the dog in heaven..

Son of the Circus. - John Irving - started slow but got good.. unfortunately I left the book on a plane so it is 1/4 not finished.

Well I've already read Lovely Bones, so I vote against it.

But who decides on what the book will be? I want to know what it is so I can start reading it! Maybe someone could post a poll with all of the existing options.

i think we should consider book clubs for different genres for the future! i would love to have different choices, like a chick lit book, a classic, a memoir, etc.

How funny.. I was going to suggest Atwood as well. Oryx and Crake is a wonderful novel by her!

I'd love to read Deluxe: How Luxury Lost its Lustre.....since we are all luxury addicts!!! Probably get a really good discussion going with that one!
