I was looking to get a royal blue colored watch. I wear a lot of blue- so I always see the brand Toy Watch in bloomingdales - I was on eBay an saw a royal blue one and ordered it. I think I have received a fake. It is very light and actually really looks like a fake kids watch (I guess that where the name comes from). I am wondering if anyone here has one and can tell me about the weight make up etc. TIA

Toy watches are what is known as plasteramic. They are very light indeed and like their name implies, almost like a 'toy'. Though popular they are definitely a watch to have in your 'fun' category. They are considered more of a fashion accessory than truly a watch. I really couldn't tell you how to determine whether you bought a fake or not though. We carry them in the store where I work.

IMHO, bring it to a store where they sell it and compare it.
I don't own one but I wanted to buy one a few weeks ago. I tried it on and was appalled they would even try to charge $300 for a plastic watch.
