Tory Burch Tory Burch Shearling Boot sizing

I'm considering these boots right now as an alternative to buying a new pair of tall Uggs (they're 30% off right now with Friends and Family).

What I'm wondering is how small the shaft is. Have any of you tried these on? I know shearling boots stretch a bit, but I have larger calves.

I have no problem pulling them up, and I would say I have mediumish calves (is there such a thing?). They are fairly loose in the shaft, but I do find the foot runs smallish.

I wear a 9 1/2 shoe, my boots are 10, and snug.
