Hi ladies, I am thinking of buying a pair of Tory Burch flats. I stopped by Holts yesterday and they were selling for $215. I remember seeing the plain black ones on ebay for just over $100... are these real? Are TB flats counterfeited? I wouldn't know where to start, but overall, what is the impression of purchasing TB flats from ebay?

I haven't bought any on eBay but I do know the TB Revas are counterfeited a lot. If they're cheap and brand new on eBay, I'd be worried, and also if a seller has multiple pairs for sale.

Some are real some aren't. Brand new ones for a 100 dollars those are probably fake, but now and then there are real ones on deal. There are some pretty regular fakers on ebay so we would have to see the actual shoes in question. Revas don't really go to clearance and that's where most of the really cheap legit stuff on ebay comes from (clearance, sample sales, etc). Generally, I see most real reva shoes going at about 140-180, not a major discount but still. The ebay seller "shoes" usually has a couple real ones but they usually auction at at least 140. Search by seller name "shoes" and they have a few up now.

Edit: The exception is if your like a size 5 or something you'll have better luck. The less common sizes tend to go for less since they make it to clearance more.

It also depends on the style of the flats. Authentic Revas shouldn't be selling for $100 because resellers usually can't buy Revas cheap enough to flip for that price. However, I've sold a few gently worn TB flats from my collection in the past, they've also been around $150+

TB flats are definitely counterfeited but I bought my first pair on Bonz for $50 and my second pair for $100, and both are 100% authentic. Granted the first pair had been worn a few times, but the second pair had only been worn a couple times and had only 2 minor scuffs on each toe. If they're brand new, I would be wary especially if seller has multiple pairs available. If they've been worn (even once or twice), it's very possible they are authentic because the Revas don't seem to have much resell value. I saw a pair on Craiglist a few days ago, worn twice in perfect condition for $50, and they were also real.

I think just cause it is worn, is not a good way of telling if the shoes are real. Someone could of bought it for a discount, wore it a few times and then resell it.

These flats are definitely counterfeiter I see sellers with the same style in many sizes and cheap! It is best to have it authenticated here if your interested in a listing.

But these flats are horrible quality, ur really just paying for the name (especially Thr reva with the large logo on the front) Not worth the retail price.

I agree with you 100%. Sorry if my reply sounded unclear--now that I read over it, it is a little misleading. I don't mean to imply that used flats = authentic. What I mean is that there are authentic deals to be found on used, but in mint condition, TB flats.

And yes, not worth the retail price at all which is why I didn't pay retail on either of my pairs of Revas. They hold up well for $100 shoes, but not much more.

I've bought 2 pairs of eBay and both were authentic . One thing to look for is if a seller has multiple pairs of the shoe and multiple sizes.
Also alot of knockoffs come from overseas .
Just buyer beware.
