Does anyone have this bag? Love it or hate it? I saw someone w/it (the messenger style) & loved it. The leather was really soft & lite weight which is now a big requirement for me...my shoulders need some relief from heavy bags :)

Seems to be sold out alot of places & the TB store near me says it's old so they don't carry it anymore. I have found it on other sites but just wanted to get some feedback before ordering. TIA!

I have the Dena tote that you can wear crossbody. I love the style and shape but after less than a year it looks like hell. I am not rough with my bags nor do I use them everyday. The leather has a bunch of scratches and the corners are so worn. Such a shame. I won't buy TB again. I mean it was a $400 bag and didn't last a year. Not worth it.

I heard that it is only her soft leather....no problems with saffiano and patent saffiano

Thanks for the info! I almost bought the Dena Messenger during the Friends & Family sale. I love how elegant / rugged it looks and how lightweight / versatile it is. Too bad the leather quality sucks.

To violet and anyone else who has had issues with TB soft leather, does this problem exist for her crackly, distressed leather? I believe the Dena came out in different leathers, the one presently in stores has a distressed, somewhat shiny finish. I just bought this, but have not used it and would return it if I do not think it will hold up. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Hello redpanda

I saw other versions of the dena and also the city which seems similar and have been tempted to buy. I loved my Dena but I was too worried the other bags wouldn't wear well. Mine sure didn't.

But, the shiny leather (patent?) may hold up better.

Hi violet, thanks for the photos, they definitely give me something to think about. I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like your dena tote and my dena messenger are similar, but not identical leathers. The Bloomingdales link below shows the bag I bought. I don't think the leather on mine will hold up well, but I'm tempted to take the risk and keep the bag as it is really perfect for my needs... aside from it not being so durable. :p I am wondering if leather conditioner will prevent or slow down the wear...

Can you tell me anything about the size of the Robinson double zip? Normally 13.5 x 9.5 is a perfect size bag for me. I'm 5'3" and petite. Do you have any pics of it?

Hello! No, I do not own it anymore. I got rid of it b/c (1) I wanted to buy a Prada saffiano leather bag/wallet and (2) didn't really like the double zip open tote concept. Her saffiano leather is not Prada saffiano...but it is still decent for the price. It was lovely.

I like more structured north south bags- not too big. It should be okay for you. I think that you should get it. I have not heard any complaints about her saffiano bags.

Thanks so much for the advice. I too don't typically like any partitions but I really need a place to put my IPad so I'm thinking I could use one of those for that. My dream would have been the Prada but been there done that and find I'd rather have a few still good ones for the price of one. Eventually though I think I'll end up downsizing my collection and maybe then I'll move to some of the higher end bags. Good luck with your bag. Looking forward to seeing it.

I also like TB's robinson double zip tote in pretty purple for my ipad and alternative working day bag. I was eyeing on Prada but its too expensive :(
