Torn leather strap

I noticed my prada bag leather strap has slightly torn along the stitches and also at the holes( i have no idea what those holes are called ,sorry for my poor English ) Does anyone know what I can do to recover it or preventing it from tearing ? Thanks

I received this bag as a gift and I don't have any receipt with me, besides, it takes a 45 min flight to get to the nearest boutique

I would phone customer service and they will most likely ask you to ship the bag into a store for evaluation.
