Top Handle: Chanel or Lady Dior

Hi!
I’m going to Paris next month and I was originally going to buy the Chanel with the top handle and the metal strip at the top that say Chanel on it but I’ve started to look into Dior bags and the Lady Dior is really appealing to me.... I assume this thread will be biased toward Chanel but what do you guys truly thing? Lady Dior or Chanel?

deff Chanel, I think the lady dior is a better deal if you grab it from the resale market. But I would first get the Chanel trendy (the one your describing) over the lady dior.

If it was me, I’d go with the Lady Dior. I think the Lady Dior is a classic, while the Trendy is not (or at least not yet). I also find the metal strip at the top a bit loud for my taste, and find the Lady Dior to be more classic and elegant.

C Trendy. I think it's just that little bit more modern and while I'm not a fan of Chanel, I like it better than Lady Dior. In the end it's your purchase- if you can, watch YT videos on both bags and go see them IRL if there are boutiques or other resellers near you.

I don't like the C Trendy because the bar at the top with the logo looks like something unnecessary that was added to the bag to make it different from other Chanel flaps. It is also a scratch magnet.

I suggest the Lady Dior

Also, have you considered the Coco Handle bag? I prefer it to the C Trendy since it doesn't have the metal bar at the top.

I was thinking the black lamb skin or patent with silver hardware!!!

Thanks so much love. And yes I think I will end up getting lady Dior since it’s a classic and I already have a Chanel classic jumbo
