Toile vs leather?

I'm quite fond of the look of a toile/leather combination bag (in this case, a Trim, though I also love the look in kellys), but I've only owned H leather so far...so my question is? how durable in toile? Does it spot/stain easily? (I would think so, given how light it is, but maybe H can clean it?) Is it heavier or lighter than, say Togo/Clemence? I'd want this bag to be very low maintenance and durable...
Thank you!

cleaning toile - I use Magic Eraser - I got the idea from a thread or post of Luxury-Shops I thought - but I cannot find the thread now. . .

Some tpfers use soap and water; some use oxy carpet cleaner - see this thread and many others. Toile is lightweight and very hardy in my opinion.

Toile H is very durable. I believe it is the same fabric used to make fire hoses. Honestly. Stains will always be an issue if you are not careful, though.

The problem with Toile is it will definitely stain because it's a fabric after all. But it is lightweight compared to leather.

Some people spray the Toile with stain & water repellent before use.

i've spilled cherry limeade on mine once. It wiped up spotless!!! same goes with food. It wipes up and doesn't leave a trace. I have 2 boys and am constantly around drinks and food. The toile still looks spotless. It's remarkable!
